RE: PARM meeting date and agenda

The Parker Mountain Resource Management Plan Rangeland Habitat Committee will meet on Thursday, October 3, 2002 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in Wayne County Extension Office conference room. The room is located in the basement of the Wayne County Courthouse, 18 South Main, Loa, Utah 84747-0160. We will provide lunch.

The purpose of this meeting is to review the recent research conducted on the Sage Grouse and discuss the future work that is planned for Parker Mountain. Following the meeting, we will take a field trip onto Parker to look at the vegetation treatments (Spike, Dixie Harrow, Lawson Aerator) and see how the vegetation is responding. We will take a look at the areas Ron has flagged for treatment this fall. In addition, we will look at the sites chosen for the Prairie Dog banking project and the Prairie Dog / grazing study.

If you have any questions about the meeting or would like to see other items added to the agenda, please contact Terry Messmer at (435) 797-3975.
