Harvest, population tables
The following harvest and population trend tables were intentionally omitted from the printed proclamation this year. For those interested in this information, we have posted it below.
Corrections to the proclamation
The corrections that appear below address errors in the printed proclamation. We have fixed these errors in the downloadable PDF hunting guide.
- Page 4: The application deadline was incorrectly printed as February 17, 2006. Because of this error, the Division will accept applications until February 17.
- Page 20: The Bonus Point information box was printed with a slight error and was updated in the PDF (online) version on Jan. 18, 2006. The first sentence under "How your Bonus Points work in the draw:" should read, "...applicants with the most bonus points."
- Pages 37 & 41: Bear Mountain Ranch CWMU was omitted from the CWMU Buck Deer and CWMU Bull Elk tables. Bear Mountain Ranch in Sanpete County has been approved as a deer and elk CWMU with one (1) Public Buck Deer permit and one (1) Public Bull Elk Permit. Due to this omission, these permits will not be issued through the drawing, but will be sold over-the-counter on June 15, 2006, as specified in section XV.G of the 2006 Big Game Proclamation on page 20.
- Page 38: On Jan. 5, 2006, the Wildlife Board approved additional dates for the 2006 season for hunt number 337 (limited entry bull elk any weapon hunt on south slope, diamond mountain). The additional dates are Oct. 7 – Oct. 19. The dates were updated in the PDF (online) version of the proclamation on Jan. 9, 2006.
- Page 44: Hunt number 943 (Once-in-a-Lifetime bison hunt on the Henry Mountains, cow only) was omitted in a previous PDF (online) version of the proclamation. The error did not appear in the printed proclamation. This error was corrected in the online version on Jan. 6, 2006.
- Page 48: The boundary on the general bull elk reference map for the San Rafael, South spike bull unit is incorrect in the printed version. The PDF (online) map was changed on Jan. 19, 2006 to correctly show that the unit boundary extends east to the Green and Colorado rivers. The boundary description on page 54 of the printed version is correct, however.
- Pages 51–52: The boundary description for the Wasatch Front Extended Archery Deer Area was printed incorrectly and was updated in the PDF (online) version on Jan. 9, 2006.
- Page 54: The boundary description for the Sanpete Valley Extended Archery Elk Area was printed incorrectly and was updated in the PDF (online) version on Jan. 9, 2006.
- Page 57: The Fillmore, Oak Creek South boundary description was printed incorrectly and was updated in the PDF (online) version on Jan. 9, 2006.
- Page 60: The Lucerne Peninsula was incorrectly listed as closed pronghorn hunting. In fact, it is open to hunting.
