Brine shrimp harvester update

Dear Brine Shrimp Harvester:

A sampling run on the south arm of Great Salt Lake was conducted on December 10, 2007. The enumeration and analysis have been completed. All presented values are per liter of lake water.

• Cysts: 149.09
• Nauplii: 0
• Juveniles: 0.02
• Males: 0.19
• Total females: 0.16
• Females: 0.16
• Females w/egg/naups: 0
• Females w/cysts: 0

The cumulative harvest poundage totals through harvest day December 14, 2007 are:

• Lake: 5,346,724
• Shore: 5,640,322
• Salt Ponds: 1,221,681
• Total: 12,208,727

Due to a planned phone outage to replace an electrical transformer at the Department of Natural Resources this weekend, we will not be able receive daily reports via phone or fax over the weekend. Please hold all daily reports for harvest occurring on December 14 and 15 and turn them in on Monday, December 17. An update with all harvest occurring during this time will be made available next week.
