Full sized rangeland drill
The full sized rangeland drill has ten separate drops spaced 12 inches apart. Depth regulator bands are mounted on the discs to regulate the depth the seed is being sown. Additionally, this drill is equipped with hydraulics to easily lift the discs to avoid rocks and stumps or to make backing up easier. Weights can be placed on the discs to aid in cutting through extremely hard soil. Seed is delivered from three different seed boxes allowing grasses, legumes and trashy shrubs to be seeded at the same time. A minimum of a 50hp rubber tired tractor is required to pull this drill.
Half sized rangeland drill
The half sized (baby) rangeland drill has five separate drops
spaced 12 inches apart. Depth regulator bands are mounted on the
discs to regulate the depth the seed is being sown. Seed is delivered
from a single seed box. Planting trashy seed is difficult because
the seed box does not have a picker wheel to force the trashy
seed through the feed cub. A minimum of a 35hp rubber tired tractor
is required to pull this drill.
