Officers seek information in deer wasting

DAVIS COUNTY — Utah Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officers are seeking information regarding the dumping of an entire deer in a dumpster near Main Street in Sunset, Utah.

Investigating officers were summoned to the scene by a concerned citizen. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that an entire 2x3 buck mule deer, wrapped in a blue tarp, had been placed in the dumpster. The animal had been field dressed, but no meat had been removed. A preliminary inspection indicated that the animal had been shot in the right shoulder.
