Officers seeking information in Henry Mountain buck deer killing

On December 21, 2012, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officer Sean Spencer received information regarding a dead mule deer buck on the Henry Mountains near McMillon Springs. Spencer examined the deer carcass and determined that the animal had been shot through the chest.

On Nov. 10, 2012, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Conservation Officer Brent Kasza and Branden Davis received information regarding wasted deer. Officers Kasza and Davis responded to the scene where they located four dead buck deer. They had been shot, and only a portion of the carcasses was recovered.

On Nov. 14, 2012, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Conservation Officer Brent Kasza received information regarding several abandoned waterfowl carcasses. Officer Kasza responded to the scene where he located five goose carcasses and two duck carcasses that had been shot and left to waste.

The bull moose was shot near the intersection of S Serviceberry and S Snowberry on the evening of Sept. 27, 2012.

Fish poacher pleads guilty and receives 10-year license suspension

Christopher Winslow of Iron County, Utah was illegally fishing at Panguitch Lake on April 29, 2011, when a Utah Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officer contacted him. Winslow possessed an expired combination license, which he unlawfully purchased while on suspension for a 2004 hunting violation.
