Become a trained naturalist and lead fieldtrips for kids or use your talents and skills in other projects. Whether you'd like to lend a helping hand or contribute monetarily, we'd appreciate it.
The nature center is looking for energetic, wildlife-loving people to inspire kids and the general public. By becoming a volunteer naturalist, you will learn and share information about migratory birds, wetlands and the Great Salt Lake ecosystem. No experience is necessary—just a genuine interest in the natural world and a desire to share that appreciation with kids. Volunteers are offered training so they can actively help grow the center's educational programs and events.

Because visiting fees are not charged, the nature center relies entirely on donations to stay up and running. Please consider supporting the effort by making a contribution. Donations by cash or personal check can be made in person at the nature center or any DWR office. You can also make a donation online by visiting Utah Wildlife in Need Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Great Salt Lake Nature Center. All donations are tax deductible and will help keep the center and its programs expanding.
