Cougar hunters: Harvest Objective permits are available over-the-counter. Prior to each hunting trip, however, call toll-free 1 (888) 668-LION (5466), to verify the unit is still open. The information is updated daily by noon.

2005–06 hunting season dates

• Permits to hunt cougars on harvest objective units in Utah will be available beginning Nov. 7, 2005 through this Web site, from division offices and through participating online licensing agents.
