Blue Ribbon Fisheries

Woodruff Reservoir

Location:: Approximately 9 miles west of Woodruff, Utah, on Highway 39.

Game fish: Bonneville cutthroat trout, mountain whitefish.

Size: 102 surface acres at full pool.

Elevation: 6500 feet

Conservation Pool: 450 acre-feet

Maximum water temperature: Ice to mid 60s F

Productivity: All natural reproduction of Bonneville cutthroat trout and mountain whitefish.

Type of fishing available: Trolling, shore, kick boats, float tubes, fly, and ice.

Angler pressure: Moderate

Accommodations: None in immediate area, closest in Bear Lake area or Huntsville.

Food: Convenience store in Woodruff, Randolph.

Boat ramps: None not recommended for boats over 14 feet.

Boat rentals: None

Fish food: Zooplankton, aquatic and terrestrial insects, and fish.

Land ownership: 64% Bureau of Land Management and 36% private.

Access: Limited to one access point.

Unique attraction: Native Bonneville cutthroat trout.
