Quail Creek Reservoir
Location:: Washington County; just off Highway 9 between Hurricane and I-15, 10 miles northeast of St. George.
Game fish: Largemouth bass, blue gill, rainbow trout.
Size: 590 surface acres.
Elevation: 2,900 feet
Conservation Pool: Conservation pool has been designated but no formal water right to guarantee protection.
Maximum water temperature: 80 degrees F
Productivity: Largemouth bass and blue gill are self-sustaining with occasional supplemental stocking of bass. Rainbow trout are stocked annually.
Type of fishing available: Bass limit: four fish under 10 inches, two fish over 20 inches. All bass between 10 and 20 inches must be immediately released. Trout fishing is general statewide regulations and generally best in the winter.
Angler pressure: Medium
Accommodations: State Park campground located at the lake. Hotels in Hurricane and St. George.
Food: No food service is available at the lake. Stores and restaurants located in nearby towns.
Boat ramps: The only boat ramp is located at the State Park. State Park fees collected.
Boat rentals: None available.
Fish foods: Aquatic and terrestrial insects, leeches, snails, crawdads.
Land ownership: Washington County Water Conservancy District.
Access: Paved road along west shoreline.
Unique attractions: Popular water sports and recreational area: water skiing, swimming, jet skis, fishing.
