Logan River
(third dam to Idaho state line)
Location:: Ten miles northeast of Logan, Utah, and continuing upstream to the Idaho border.
Game fish: Bonneville cutthroat trout, brown trout, mountain whitefish.

Stream length: 23.5 miles
Elevation: Approximately 6,000 feet
Average Flow (minimum flow): None. The mean annual flow is 217 cfs.
Maximum water temperature: Mid 60s F
Productivity: The Logan River is very productive and is maintained by natural
reproduction.
Type of fishing available: Artificial fly and lure only from Card Canyon Bridge to Red Banks campground, bait allowed upstream from Red Banks.
Angler pressure: Receives high of angler pressure but is able to sustain the pressure and maintain a good fishery. Special regulations for this water help the quality of the fishery.
Accommodations: Motels in Logan and Garden City, Forest Service campgrounds.

Land ownership: 69 percent U.S. Forest Service and 31 percent private
Access: Good, highway parallels stream throughout canyon
Unique attraction: The Logan River is a beautiful river unregulated by dams, maintaining a natural flow regime. It has good to excellent riparian habitat.
