12/12 — Bridget Olson, Wildlife Biologist at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge completed the Waterbird/Raptor Count and reported the following: Refuge waters back open though very few birds. Around 10,000 total waterfowl compared to 40,000 this time in 2002. Three Great Egrets still hanging around and a late Eared Grebe were notable birds. A total of 90 raptors of 6 species counted.
