Stop poachers

01/20 — Bridget Olson, Wildlife Biologist for the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge (BRMBR), conducted a Waterbird/Raptor Survey at the BRMBR and reported the following: The Refuge is 99 percent frozen over. Only a few pockets of open water where the Refuge canals run into the Great Salt Lake. A few hardy birds persist. Birds sighted from the tour loop include Rough-legged Hawk, Common Goldeneye, Common Merganser, Pied-billed Grebe, Coot, Great Blue Heron, Prairie Falcon, and Short-eared Owl.
