Government Records Access & Management Act
(GRAMA)
GRAMA, UCA 63-2-101 et seq.
In 1992 the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) went into effect. GRAMA sets guidelines for classifying all types of data and information in government records based upon who has the right to access that information.
All State of Utah agencies follow the records management responsibilities that are identified in this law. GRAMA also describes the duties of State Archives and the State Records Committee.
To receive copies of any Wildlife Resources records you must completely fill out the GRAMA Request form, and return the form with signature by mail, fax or e-mail to our agency. Some records requests may require a copy of a driver license.
Under the Utah GRAMA rule a reasonable administrative service fee can be and is normally assessed for both hard copies and staff time to search, retrieve, summarize, compile and/or tailor data records for all requests of division information.
