Utah income tax checkoff donations
The Utah Legislature, since 1981, has given Utahns opportunities to donate to worthy causes via checkoffs on the state TC-40 income tax form. Utah currently has five checkoffs.

Nongame Wildlife Income Tax Checkoff - In Fiscal Year (FY) 2000 DWR received $42,693. This amount has been relatively constant for the past couple years (FY 1999 was $41,634). That money is spent and is directed at non-game programs including June Sucker, native avian, native wildlife - mammals, Colorado River fish (endangered), Virgin River fish (endangered), and Desert Tortoise.
